What that means in practice

The tours listed here are sold by Viator and GetYourGuide. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator, a restaurant or a ticket office. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.

We have no connection with Roma Capitale, the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei, the Benedictine community of Santa Cecilia, the Museo di Roma in Trastevere, the Jewish Museum of Rome or any of the businesses these tours stop at.

How tours get listed

Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. The badges are arithmetic: the best seller is the one with the most reviews, the best value is the lowest per-person fare shown, and the top-rated one carries a 4.9 or higher across a large number of reviews. Where one operator sells a similar tour as more than one listing, both appear, because both are separately bookable.

The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different kinds of evening or morning — a food walk, a hands-on pasta class and a private history walk into the Jewish Ghetto — and each meets in a different square.

Prices, ratings and how current they are

Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were read from their own listings on 15 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Everything is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing is converted at an exchange rate. Every fare on this site is per person.

Where we state a fact about the quarter, it comes from the body that sets it: Villa Farnesina's own site for its hours and tickets, the Benedictine nuns of Santa Cecilia for the basilica's visiting hours, the Museo di Roma in Trastevere and the Jewish Museum of Rome for theirs, Roma Mobilità for the ZTL, ATAC for the BIT ticket, Turismo Roma for the Tourist Infopoints and the Festa de' Noantri, and the Italian Army for the Gianicolo cannon.

What we deliberately do not publish

• Opening hours or an entry price for Santa Maria in Trastevere. The figures repeated online could not be read on the parish's own site, so this site states neither.
• A fee for Santa Cecilia's excavations or the Cavallini fresco. The monastery's hours page publishes times and no price; a figure circulating elsewhere is not on its pages.
• A stop-by-stop list for tram 8. The line and its two ends are stated; the stops are not, until they can be read on the operator's own planner.
• A sunset time for every month. Two dates were read from a published table and are printed; the rest are not guessed.
• Hours for the Tempietto del Bramante and the Orto Botanico. Neither was read on its own official page.
